Hanuwantiya is home to some of the most ravishing islands in Madhya Pradesh.
The island is the perfect spot to mellow out as it’s situated against the marvelous backdrop of Indira Sagar Dam. In addition, the artistic and aesthetic walls of the nearby village add a ray of charm to this destination hub.
Jal Mahotsav is the largest water carnival event in the country and is held in Hanuwantiya. It has got ample amenities and adventurous activities to offer.
The event is organized every year in the month of December, which lasts till January. It’s an eighty-day jam-packed event inundated with a plethora of adventurous activities to make the event remarkable and stand out amongst other carnival activities.
The event kicked off in 2016 and was organized by MP Tourism in the presence of the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
The event has been held for the sixth time in a row and has also been internationally recognized and awarded as India’s largest water carnival at the Active Tourist contest in Spain.
It’s a massive event and is a perfect paradise for art enthusiasts, adventure seekers, and people who are tired of the hustling and bustling of the city and want to unwind themselves.
